
In a video that went viral on social media, students of Assin Asamankese D/A were seen improvising stones for computer mice while learning ICT in class.
Educational authorities threatened to take action against the teacher since it flouted teaching and learning regulations. However, Ghanaians bashed this directive of the educational service sending them into recluse.

However, the First Lady upon hearing the issue teamed up with the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFFEC) and the Member of Parliament for the area to make provision for 22 brand new desktop computers to the school.
Mrs. Akuffo-Addo donated three desktop computers and other learning resources while GIFFEC officials also presented 14 desktop computers. The MP of the area also presented the school with five computers.
An ICT Resource center has been set up for schools in the area while more corporate bodies indicate their intention to go to the aid of the school.
