A United States of America sponsored scholarship scheme has been opened for Senior High School level students.
The beneficiaries will get the opportunity to study at a High School in the US.
The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programme is sponsored by the US Department of State and administered by AFS/IEP-Ghana in collaboration with the US Embassy in Accra.
Each year, the scholarship sends 20 students from Ghana to the US. The students live with American host families and share their culture.
The scholarship is opened to first year SHS students, who attend school in the Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions.
According to the eligibility criteria, an applicant must have been born between October 31, 2000 and August 1, 2003. He or she must also exhibit strong leadership skills.
Applicants will take an aptitude test on Saturday, June 17 2017.
