This Week In Celebrity: Ex Prez J. A. Kufuor’s New Appointment In Freemason Lodge, Sandra Ankobiah Visited Trump’s White House And More

We had quite a bit going on in the Ghanaian entertainment scene this week. Lets have a look at pictures some celebrities posted on Instagram:

To begin with, A-Plus, launched an attack against Kofi Adams, the National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress who has been defending Ibrahim Mahama.
People like Kofi Adams, the NDC national organiser who instead of working for his party (NDC) a day to elections, was busy drinking beer with girls on the Spintex road is [now] talking nonsense [because EOCO is grilling Ibrahim Mahama for evading tax?]
“People have gone to jail for 10 years for stealing cassava and goat. Police has arrested people for 500 Ghana cedis dud checks. Some have gone to jail for one roll of weed; and someone has issues 44 dud checks and is walking free. The most annoying part is that some NDC people are defending him.”  He added.

John Kufuor has been given a new appointment in a Freemasons’ Lodge in the United Kingdom. The former president of Ghana was “promoted” to become a Senior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) on Wednesday at a closed ceremony.

Also, Amanda Acquah says she is still legally married to Black Stars player, Afrique Acquah even though they are separated.
The mother-of-one revealed that they married in their early twenties, lacking experience.

“We are still married. Scandal didn’t separate us. The love we had was way above scandal. During that time we were chilling in Italy. We are cool. You know we are both young, we got married very early. We got married when I was 24 and he was 22. I think we need more time.
The separation is what we needed. We need more time to grow, get more matured and understand each other. When we got married, we didn’t really understand the meaning of marriage, especially for him because I had engagement with Kenpong; traditional marriage and I lived with him so I had some experience but he was very young, getting the fame and money”.

Despite the recent scathing critiques of comedian DKB over his lacklustre performance at the Easter Comedy Show, ace satirist, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has asserted that DKB is still King of GH Comedy.

Last week, it was reported that former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings walked out during his performance at the Easter Comedy show which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre.
He has an amazing sense of humour. DKB is a very funny person. He is very hilarious. When he did his show called Point of View, he practically filled up the National Theatre. His last show I saw at Silverbird, he got a standing ovation. So, he has one bad night and all of a sudden, it’s like he is the worst that ever happened to Ghana comedy, I don’t think it is a fair assessment.

Criss Waddle made a startling revelation that he signed Medikal to his record label as far back as 2010.

“I remember when I first came out with my first single, ‘Ayi’, I said to myself that 5 years from now, I don’t wanna be the only artiste on stage performing, I told myself 5 years from now, I have to put people who got talent but no resources to AMG, and so through that I discovered Medikal. I signed him in 2010 but he blew up in 2016. Medikal had to make lots of sacrifices; he had the patience because from 2010 to 2016 and he was willing to follow instructions? Mehn, that alone should tell you something about him.”
