GIJ Denies Its Student Is Featured In A Leaked Sex Tape

The Students’ Representative Council of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ-SRC) has denied that a lady featured in a leaked sex tape is a student of the university.

The university, has therefore, asked members of the general public to desist from attributing the leaked sex tape that has already gone viral tape to the university and its students.

In a statement issued by GIJ-SRC and singed by its Women’s Commissioner, Suraiya Gomda, the university stated that “our investigation has proved that the lady is not a student of our institution hence the institution should be detached from this malicious act.”

“We want the general student populace to treat this video with great discontent and disregard it. It is not only inhumane and ungodly but also an insult on feminism. We, therefore, appeal to everyone to desist from sharing this video on all social media platforms and help stop this cancer from growing,” it went on further to say.

The university took the opportunity to also caution students especially, ladies “to be careful when having sexual intercourse and also refrain from taking videos of it.”

In the past, various tertiary institutions such as Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Cape Coast (UCC) have been linked to leaked alleged students sex tapes that went viral on social media.
