The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is holding its Students Representative Council (SRC).
Voting started at 10 am and polls will close at 5 pm.
The KNUST SRC Presidential election is keenly contested by David Dannah, Rasheed Ahmed Nakpan, Christian Boakye Yiadom and Bruce Yeboah Gyampoh.

Among Dannah’s proposed policies are the establishment of Afia Kobi Serwaa Fund to support women students, advocate for the removal of duplicate fees and charges, a 24hr access to classrooms, a KNUST startup school and the establishment of an internship secretariat.
On the other hand, Christian Boakye Yaidom is promising to setup a student loan facility that will disburse between GHS 50 – GHS 200 to needy students, establish an off-campus WiFi system, setup a student term insurance and develop a PDF application that will host all the PDFs for various programmes.
This year’s SRC elections was marred by violence that ensued between students of Kantaga and Continental last night.
