GHANASS Student Killed By Fallen Tree, Seven Others Injured

A 16-year-old form one student of the Ghana Senior High School (Ghanass) in Koforidua, has died after a tree accidentally fell on him on Saturday.

The deceased, Desmond Amoako of the Frempong Mposu House, was a general arts student of the school.

According to a student who witnessed the incident, “The tree just fell and injured some students. There were a lot of people there, but most of them managed to run away so they were not affected.”It is not clear what the students were doing under the tree at the time,  but information gathered indicates that the students had closed from Prep and were wandering about on campus when the incident occurred.The Effiduase District Police Commander, ASP Dan Yaaro, confirmed the incident and said the police were investigating the matter.
