Speaking to KMJ on Hitz Fm, an angry K.K Fosu spoke on the state of stage craft among Ghanaian artistes, and hammered on Dancehall artistes.
The anadwo Yede artist said that musicians record what he referred to as “yawa songs” for their consumers, and that the consumers were consuming bad products. He vowed to personally put in measures to curb the “trash” songs from the industry, but that he could only do that if he was MUSIGA president.
He also stated that the current crop of musicians are glory hunters and only chase fame, and that by doing that, they don’t learn how to record good music.
He was then put on the spot to mention some of the artistes he was talking about to which he replied with “Wisa”. “Wisa cant even perform live band as a singer, he added”
He spoke on dancehall artistes as well and said that “any artiste who cannot perform live band on stage is wack”. He mentioned Stonebwoy and samini as the dancehall artistes he admired the most because of their ability to perform with live band.
He also added that “if you cannot perform with live band, you are a wack artists, so if shatta wale thinks that he cannot perform with Live band, then he is one of the wack artists”
