President Mahama must have packed all his belongings from the Jubilee House already.
Just as most people are happy he’s leaving office…
… ECOWAS is even more happy to employ him because of his communication skills.
The outgoing President John Mahama has been appointed Co-chair of the ECOWAS mediation committee in the political impasse in the Gambia.
The president will be assisted by his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari.
The mediation committee formed at the 50th ordinary session of the authority of heads of state and government in Abuja has been tasked to ensure Gambian president Yahya Jammeh hands over power following his defeat in the country’s elections.
Addressing the summit, Mr. Mahama called on his colleagues to honour the investiture of Ghana’s incoming President on January 7.
He revealed he will be taking a long break after which he will take up international assignments once he exits office.
The ECOWAS leaders also commended the outgoing Ghanaian President for his exemplary leadership.
