Despite the fact that Ghana has internet penetration less than 13%, and is only one of 62 countries holding elections in 2016, Ghana has been ranked second, by Google, in the online election discourse.
The U.S.A is the only country who has used the #Election2016 hashtag more than Ghana, naturally, as they are holding elections today.
Surprisingly, four countries from Africa are among the top five to be searching for the US elections. The other top countries talking about the US elections are Uganda, Nigeria, Singapore and Kenya.
