One tradition that has gained grounds in all universities is the celebration of an Akwaaba week to officially welcome first years into the school. It is important to have every activity on point as it is the start of their tertiary social life and you do not want to mess it up for them. The Accra Technical University has set out great events to usher their freshmen into a better social life as well as usher their HND students into a university life. The week long event is aimed at promoting the peace and stability of the country and the role of the technical university student. The week is set to begin with a Jama competition and clean up exercise on the 14th of November through to the 20th.
The activities include a movie night, float, games, a beach jam, business seminars and a concert all set for the week. It is also from authoritative source that AMG Medikal ,Wisa and Bisa Kdei include artistes for the concert and DJ black is on the beach event slated for Saturday after the Friday concert sponsored by Live Fm.
All students are anxious to see what is up the SRC’s sleeve as they have waited too long to drop this year’s Akwaaba Week Celebration.
