
An accused person appeared in a Ho court on charges of stealing, causing unlawful damage and assault on a public officer. Selassie Gbee was also wanted by the court on account of unlawfully possessing a gun. On 25th May 2016, a compliant was lodged at the Ho Municipal Police Station against the accused person for allegedly stealing a motor bike.
On the 26th of July, Selassie was arrested and appeared before court on Friday, 29th July 2016. He was remanded into prison custody and was to appear in court again on Monday, 1st August 2016. In the process of being handcuffed by the police, the suspect took to his heels and run out of the court right in front of the judge. Unfortunately for him, he was recaptured in the process and brought back to the court where the judge (Judge Franklin Titus Glover) said he will be charged for wrongful escape from custody in the next hearing.
