Actor George Williams died this morning at the KorleBu Teaching Hospital in Accra, a close relative confirmed to StarrFMonline.com.
The actor, who featured in Ghanaian cinema features like Ultimate Paradise, Bloody Kids and Mama, took ill at home and was rushed to the hospital where he later passed on.
The news of his passing comes as another blow to Ghanaians who are barely recovering from the death of highlife legend, Daasebre Gyamenah, only last week.
Mr Williams acted for almost 50 years after starting his acting career in 1952 and was 87 years old at his passing. Our thoughts are with his family.
