This Week In Celebrity: KP Boateng’s Honeymoon Photos, Cocoa Brown Airs & More

Here’s what you missed in celebrity news this week;

Ghana’s Most Influential Awards

On 30th June at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, 100 of Ghana’s public figures were awarded most influential persons in the country. They were politicians, sports, radio and television personalities, entrepreneurs and leaders of churches including Pastor Mensah Otabil, who came first on the list for the second year running and Abraham Attah, who set the record as the youngest person to make it onto the list.

Others who were honored with awards are President John Mahama, Rev. Father Campbell, Lydia Forson, Dede Ayew, Joyce Ababio, Asamoah Gyan, Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Sarkodie.
Bishop Daniel Obinim, whose name came up in the nominations, had to be taken off the list of nominees because, according to the Head of Corporate Communications and Brands of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), Kwame Gyan, the committee that was put in charge of shortlisting the nominees felt that Obinim should be disqualified because he was a negative influence on society and went ahead to cite examples of the Bishop’s derogatory outbursts. Mr Gyan was speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review.

Gods Vrs Kings

Since rapper M.anifest released his song godMC earlier this week, social media spheres have gone wild with speculation, claiming that M.anifest’s song comes as a reply to Sarkodie’s new song Bossy. Bossy is already doing round on social media because people think the song is a jab at EL for his King Without A Crown song.

As yet, no statements have come from the camps of any of these rappers confirming or denying these speculations. One thing we are certain of is this; if there is beef between these three that’s going to provide us with hot songs for the summer, then may the best man win.

A Honeymoon Fit For A Prince
Kevin Prince Boateng appears to be having the best of married life. He was spotted on a beach in Sardinia honeymooning with his model wife and their little boy Maddox a day after his beautiful wedding.

MzVee Speaks Out

In a radio interview, the dancehall singer and nominee for Best International Act spoke about the poor support she received from Ghanaians regarding her BET Awards nomination. She said;

I definitely had the support from my true fans but there were people that didn’t agree with the situation but at the end of the day you cannot get everyone to be in the same boat with you. It’s like that in every aspect of life. That said, I would have wished people supported me much more because when I came to LA other countries were supporting their people and I hope in the future Ghana will do more. But I think I got the support I needed from my true fans the Tip Toers. I’m happy with the turn out”

MzVee lost to Black Coffee from South Africa.
