It’s Uber transportation services. It’s UBER people!! The organisation you’ve seen working on your friend’s snapchat stories where they sit in flashy cars and just chill to their destinations. You also see them at work on your twitter feeds with Uber codes and promotions, not to mention the comments about how some of them have amazing customer satisfaction. Uber has become one of the world’s best transportation services. At the touch of a button, you can get any car of your choice (that are on offer) to take you to your destination. Personally I would love to have an uber ride.
Who doesn’t want to sit in a car that is not a taxi, letting you use their aux cords and offering you bottles for the parties you forgot to buy one for.
With transportation businesses coming up in Ghana as well I wonder how this will work out (Uber is a multi-Million dollar company, I think we know). Some such as Easy Taxi took their leave of this niche and never looked back. With taxis everywhere i wander whats going to happen. Trotro Diaries on the one hand are doing some things though, i guess not all is lost…yet.
Uber is hiring by the way, thought I should mention it. They are looking for an operations and logistics manager in Accra. I could write down all the information on here but then someone will say plagiarism so I’ll just post a link to the page on the website here and say all the best to those applying and when you see my name in the drivers list make sure you know wossop with the connections.
Here’s a quote from the website I think is worth posting here:
“At Uber we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products and our community. Uber is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.” – Uber
