On Wednesday, 29th June, 2016, three schools compete for this years National Science and Maths Quiz.
Mfantsipim School knocked out St. Thomas Aquinas and Ghana National College at the semi finals stage. Mfantsipim eliminated Prempeh College and Wesley Girls at the quarter finals and trashed St. Charles’ Min. Sem SHS and Juaben SHS at the 1/8th stage.

St. Thomas Aquinas – 47pts
Ghana Nat. College – 25pts
Adisadel College beat Accra Academy and Kumasi Sec Tech in the semi finals contest to also pick a slot in the finals.They defeated Dzodze-Penyi SHS and Tamale Islamic SHS at the 1/8th stage and also trashed Tamale SHS and Benkum SHS at the quarter finals stage.

Accra Academy – 40pts
Kumasi Sec. Tech. – 31pts
Opoku Ware School managed to knock out Kumasi High School and St. Hurbert Minor Sem. School, after winning the competition on a tiebreak against Kumasi High at the semi finals stage. The Owass Boys defeated T.I Amass Kumasi and Takoradi SHS at the 1/8th stage competition.At the quarter finals, they defeated Ada SHS and Ghana Sec. Tech. Sch. Opoku Ware School equalises the record number of finalist appearances with Presesbyterian Boysb and will equalise Prempeh College if they win it for the third time.
