Kofi Amoako, popularly known in the Ghanaian scene as DJ Vyrusky, has been nominated for the 11th Annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA).
DJ Vyrusky has been nominated for the African(Non Nigerian) Disc Jockey category alongside DJ Mensah (GH), DJ Lebbie (SL), DJ Bossman (LIB), DJ Joe Mfalme (KQ), and DJ Slick Stuart Roja (UG).
DJ Vyrusky is known for the banging mixes he puts out there. He has performed on platforms like the Hennesy Artistry Concert, Ghana Meets Naija, Tidal Rave, Ghana DJ Awards, Red Room at VGMA, and the Switch Concerts from Accra – Kwahu – Kumasi.
Awards he has won include; Best Events DJ of the year and Best Club DJ of the year.
DJ Vyrusky, the life of the party, as he is called, is currently the official DJ for Ghanaian artistes, Shattawale and MzVee. He is also the official DJ for Starr FM’s ‘Starr Drive’ with hosts, Bola Ray and Anita Erskine.
The list of nominees which includes the likes of Bisa Kdei, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Mr Eazi, Majid Michel, Abraham Atta, Efya and MzVee, was announced last night by the producers of the Awards.
The NEAs was established in New York in January 2006 and it’s primary objective of the is to recognize the contributions of Nigerian and African entertainers to the entertainment industry.
The event is scheduled for September 4th this year in New York during the Labor Day weekend.
