Meet Bozoma Saint John: Ghanaian Apple Executive Who Played “Y3wo Krom” At The WWDC

Bozoma Saint John has been in the shadows until recently, when she played Atom’s “Y3wo Krom” at Apple’s WorldWide Development Congress (WWDC) on Monday. She really stole the show and it actually came as a surprise when we learnt she was of Ghanaian descent. But the question still remains; “Where did Bozoma come from?” Let’s get started

She was born in Ghana but moved to Colorado Springs when she was 14, with her parents and three sisters.

In 10th grade, she run for student council. Her slogan was “Nuthin but a Boz thang.”

Bozoma headed up the music and entertainment marketing group for Pepsi, where she arranged brand endorsements for the likes of Kanye West, Michael Jackson, and Nicki Minaj. She also helped arrange Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show.

She was then hired as a senior vice president and head of global marketing at Beats  in 2014. So obviously, she moved to Apple when the iPhone maker bought out the headphone maker.

In 2013, she was selected for Billboard’s list of 40 under-40 music power players for securing high-profile partnerships with some of the biggest names in hip-hop.

Bozoma is married to Peter Saint John with whom she has a daughter.
