Head Carrying Load Brouhaha: GES Hits Hard At Prof Quarm But He Is Not Speaking Yet

A natural science textbook, authored by Prof. Joseph Albert Quarm which claims the human head is used for carrying load, is not approved, the Ministry of Education has announced.

It made this known in statement signed by Education Minister, Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.

” It must be noted that the book in question is not an approved textbook for schools under the Ghana Education Service, and as such, heads of schools and parents are advised to stop patronizing the said book authored by Prof. Joseph Albert Quarm’, the statement said.
Many have criticized the author for the author for misleading pupils at an early stage. Chief amongst them has been educationist, Anis Haffar, who says the author and publisher of the ‘Prof. Quarm Series,’ Joseph Albert Quarm, is misleading young children and projecting negative stereotypes following his classification of the human head as a part of the human body used for carrying loads.

When Kuulpeeps.Com called Prof-Quarm Publications Ltd, his secretary, Joyce picked up. According to her, Prof Quarm is not speaking to the matter now. He will release an official statement to the issue in due time, she said.
