#Knustdecides: Court Struck Out Case Against EC and SRC President Elect; Says Case Was Frivolous.

The Knust Court has struck out a case brought before it by Joseph Mireku, Kobby Amoah et al against the Student Representative Council Electoral Commissioner and SRC President Elect, Samuel Amoako Kusi.

Joseph Mireku, Kobby Amoah et al sought to quash the results of the SRC election on the basis that the electioneering process was fraudulent and that the systems of the University Information Technology Service, UITS, was tampered with to favour Samuel Amoako Kusi.

After hearing arguments from lawyers from both sides, Presiding Judge for the Knust court, Justice Abu Bonsra struck out the case brought before his court.

He described the suit as frivolous, Vexatious and Malicious.

The Justice has however, given the go ahead to the Electoral Commissioner to go ahead with the final declaration of results which will see Mr. Samuel Amoako Kusi declared SRC President elect.
