Student Representative Council elections at the various public Universities in Ghana are usually tensed, because there is a school of thought that believes it’s outcome certainly influences the outcome of the general election.
This year, like other years gone by, the SRC elections at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology has been riddled with numerous legal tussles.
However, the Electoral Commission which was alledgedly engulfed in a bribery scandal before the first vetting of the SRC aspirants has been able to agree on a date for the election which seeks to elect personalities to lead the student front for the coming academic year.
#KnustDecides has been slated for March 31 where astute student politicians will come up against each other for the position to lead the student body of KNUST.
In all eight Aspirants are vying for the President position while three individuals are contesting for the position of General Secretary.
Three individuals are in the race for the position of SRC treasurer whereas four people are contesting for the Women’s Commissioner position.
