Foreign Students Invade KNUST For Doctor of Pharmacy Programme


According to the Vice Chancellor of the KNUST, Prof. Otoo Ellis, KNUST have seen an unprecedented scores of foreign students trooping into the school to study its Doctor of Pharmacy Programme  (‘PharmD,’) which the university started four years ago.

The students, according to him, are mainly from about twelve countries, especially in the West African sub-region, including Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire.

He made this remarks when the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana and the Pharmacy Council visited KNUST to assess the programme.

Kuulpeeps,com checks revealed that only KNUST are offering the programme in Ghana at the moment and is one of the five countries offering the programme in Africa.

Universities such as the University of Ghana and Central University College are making strenuous efforts to upgrade their pharmacy programme to that level.
