Kuulpeeps have learnt that the situation at Bunkrugu in the Northern region has gotten bloody as one person has died of gunshots whiles another one has died in a fire that engulfed his house. The Jamon family is challenging the legitimacy of the chief of Bunkrugu who is with the Jafouk family.
On Wednesday evening, a clash between the two families caused four houses to torch down, killing one person as said earlier.
Northern regional police commander, Ken Yeboah has said that the police have no idea what might have triggered the gun shots, but he was convinced that the renewed of clashes between the Jafouks and the Jamons was the reason. Although no arrest has been made yet, a curfew has been imposed on the district as police personnel have been deployed to the area.
The case has been in court for eight years, but that has not stopped the factions from going at each other from time to time. Schools have been closed today for fear of stray bullets as people remain indoors.
