Ghanaian-American hip-hop artist, Samuel Bazawule, known by the stage name Blitz the Ambassador will be part of the courageous dreamers who will take the world with them on their journey in Vancouver, Canada from February 15 to 19, 2016 to show the way forward staring at humanity’s toughest challenges.
“Born in Ghana and inspired by American rap pioneers like Public Enemy and KRS-One, Samuel Bazawule (better known as Blitz the Ambassador) brings a West African flavor to contemporary hip-hop. Now living in Brooklyn, Blitz connects his Afrobeat roots and his adopted hip-hop scene with live musicians (whose grooves and horns recall Nigerian legend Fela Kuti) and a host of collaborators, including Public Enemy’s Chuck D.” his biography read on the TED2016 speakers’ list.
Per the program schedule, Blitz will give his presentation on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 on the section which focuses on Imagination, Invention and Ingenuity.

The TED2016 with the theme, DREAM, will include a fast-paced, highly curated five-day stage program featuring TED’s famous 18-minute talks, plus music, comedy, tech demos, short talks, video interludes and other surprises including evening events at Vancouver’s most intriguing spots, art exhibits, tech demos, and other experiences.
Other speakers include Botswana writer Siyanda Mohutsiwa; singer, musician and composer John Legend and “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” creator; Shonda Rhimes among others.
