Online movie and television series streaming service, Netflix officially went live in 130 countries including Ghana on Wednesday, 6th January, 2016. Kuulpeeps got in touch with communication and online teams of a few telecommunication companies to find out if a data plan or package is in line for Netflix users in Ghana.

Kuulpeeps’ sources at Surfline, who spoke  on condition of anonymity assured that there is a partnership with Netflix in the pipeline, details of which are yet to be made public.

From the Head of Corporate Communictions of Airtel Ghana Richard Ahiagble, a decision is yet to be made on the right package for Netflix. There is, however, an ongoing deal with Iroko TV which shows mainly African movies.

Vodafone’s online strategist, Nana Boateng, confirmed that although a mobile data package has not been decided on yet, they have a broadband package for Netflix.  He also hinted that they have an ongoing package for Iroko TV as well.

Kuulpeeps will continue to get more from various telcos on their data plan for Netflix.
