Celebrated Ghanaian Reggae Musician, Rocky Dawuni, has secured an impressive Best Reggae Album nomination for the upcoming 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards which will return to L.A’s Staples Centre on the 15th of February, 2016.
Dawuni’s album, Branches of The Same Tree, will be competing with other great reggae albums like Morgan Heritage’s Strictly Roots and Luciano’s Zion Awake. The other albums in the category are The Cure by Jah Cure and Acousticalevy by Barrington Levy.
This nomination comes right on the heels of Rocky Dawuni’s announcement that he will be performing in Ghana with his band for his ‘Homecoming and Album Celebration Concert‘ at Alliance Francaise on December 18, 2015. The concert will feature award winning songstress, Wiyaala.
Rocky’s GRAMMY Nomination comes as no surprise.
