We are fast closing in on the yuletide, it is the pay day for most showbiz personalities; shows are coming up, artistes are being billed to perform and the cash will start rolling in. Everyone will surely get his share of the cake but these are the artistes we expect to get a bigger share of the cake this Christmas.
Bisa K’dei
Bisa’s Mansa video is the first Ghanaian video to hit a million views on youtube, his Brother Brother song seems unstoppable at the moment. He owns two of the songs rocking this season so we expect that he’d be the one person people would want to hear the most this season.
Sarkodie
He is Sarkodie; the biggest artiste in Ghana since 2009. This feat makes him a hot cake whichever way you look at it. He has already been billed to perform at the Gh Rocks and his own Rapperholic Concert. Even though there have been concerns about organisers’ ability to bill him for shows because of his high price tag, we expect that more organisers will still take that step to get him on their event.
Pappy Kojo & Joey B
They have played every big show this year-from the VGMAs, Vodafone X concerts, Tidal Rave amongst others- and were fashion trendsetters for youngsters nationwide. They are billed to perform at Loud In Gh and Ghana Rocks this Christmas and we expect more from them this season. Pappy is also inviting you to come and party with him and 30 of his friends at the Marina mall on Christmas day. It is definitely not ending there, much is expected from them this Christmas.
Stonebwoy
This year has been the biggest year for the Bhim Nation artiste. He has been the most talked about artiste in Ghana and has gained international recognition as well. With the Christmas nearing, we expect him to cash in big from shows. Already, he is set to perform at the Decemba 2 Rememba and YFM Loud In Gh.
Rocky Dawuni
He is usually in Ghana for his Independence day concert but the trend has changed and he is expected home this Christmas. After getting a nomination for the Best Reggae album award at the 2016 Grammys, he is expected to be one of the most sought after artistes this Christmas. Rocky Dawuni has already announced his “Homecoming Concert & Album Celebration” at Alliance Francaise on Friday, December 18th.
