A female student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has been confirmed dead according to myjoyonline.com after she sustained multiple knife wounds during an altercation with her boyfriend.
The student only identified by her colleagues as Jennifer Atieku is said to have been dating the taxi-driver till the unfortunate incident. According to a colleague at her hostel, the victim was being supported financially by her attacker, as such he did not take kindly to her threats of breaking up with him.
The attacker on the morning of Thursday stabbed her fatally and attempted to take his own life afterwards. His suicide attempt failed and they were both rushed to the hospital where Jennifer passed on.
