Stonebwoy has explained why he is unable to make it to Jamaica for the STING 2015 concert. Contrary to earlier reports that his management couldn’t afford ticket, he has said the events he signed on to in Ghana came earlier than the Sting deal, which means Sting came in behind schedule.
Shatta Wale had come out to say that he’d sponsor Stonebwoy to go for the Sting but the GMAs artiste of the year has rubbished the plane tickets issues; claiming it is bigger that that.
Some people wanted to take advantage of that to get their hype, do you think we can’t afford a first class ticket to go to Jamaica for the Sting event? My manager spoke from a business point of view as to getting the sponsorship deal but it’s not like we are begging for sponsorship to travel.
Laying the issue to rest on pluzz fm this morning, the BET award winner spoke to certain comments in the media that his decision goes against getting other African artistes the opportunity to perform at Sting. According to him, he is not naïve to perform on big platforms. He is doing what is doing what is right, business-wise.
